Verify it before you run it
The package is UNSIGNED. Windows SmartScreen will therefore flag it as coming from an unknown publisher, and Defender may block it. That is neither a fault of the package nor a certificate of its safety: it means no code-signing certificate was bought for it. So check it yourself.
Open PowerShell next to the downloaded file and run:
Get-FileHash 'HyMeKo-Editor-Windows-x64.zip' -Algorithm SHA256The value you get must be this:
8f126d3f6ffad049d181ae2346596aa7c6ab04b51776d02189ec76c609ca6800If it does not match, do not run it. A single differing character means you did not download this file.
What is in it, and what it needs
- A portable directory, not an installer. Keep it together and launch HyMeKo Editor.exe.
- It starts offline: no web server, no Node installation and no sibling checkout are required.
- It compiles sources locally through the same Rust compiler as the browser build — no separate desktop parser and no alternate IR.
- The profile and autosave live in %APPDATA%/HyMeKo Editor, outside the application directory. Keep it when replacing a build.
- There is no installer, no auto-update, and no macOS or Linux package.
